Water Testing in Goodyear, With Every Reading Shown at Your Tap
We test your water inside your home, show you each reading as it comes up, and tell you what it means for your fixtures, your appliances and your glass of water. The test is free, and there is no obligation to buy anything afterward.
What a water test tells you
Most people call us because something looks or tastes off: white crust on a faucet aerator, spots on dishes, a pool-like smell from the tap. A test puts numbers to those signs, so a decision about equipment rests on your actual water rather than a guess.
The readings also decide which materials make sense. Hard water points toward ion-exchange resin. A strong chlorine taste points toward carbon. High dissolved solids in drinking water is the job a reverse osmosis membrane does well. Each material has trade-offs, and we walk you through them with your numbers in front of you.
Plenty of homes around Goodyear and the West Valley deal with hard water, but hardness varies by home and by source. That is why we test first and recommend second.
What we check during the visit
Hardness
This reading measures calcium and magnesium, which build scale in water heaters, faucet cartridges and dishwasher spray arms. It alone shows whether a softener deserves a conversation.
Total dissolved solids
TDS tells us the total amount dissolved in your water. From it we can judge whether your drinking water would gain from a reverse osmosis membrane or whether carbon is enough.
Chlorine
City water is treated with a disinfectant, and that is the taste and smell many people notice. Measuring the level lets us say whether a carbon filter would change things in a way you would notice.
pH
Acidic or alkaline water changes how metal pipes and fixtures wear. It also affects which media we would recommend should you choose a system.
A look at your plumbing
If you are comfortable with it, we check where the main line comes in, the water heater and any equipment already there. Room, access and the state of current parts all affect what can go in neatly.
Good reasons to test your water
White residue on faucets
Chalky deposits on faucets, showerheads and the rims of sinks usually mean hard water, and they reappear soon after cleaning.
Spotty dishes and hazy glassware
A cloudy film on glasses straight out of the dishwasher comes from minerals that stay behind as the water evaporates.
A chemical taste or smell from the tap
When tap water smells like a pool and you reach for bottled water instead, a chlorine reading tells us whether carbon would fix it.
Rough towels and tight skin
Hard water makes soap harder to rinse away. Laundry dries stiff, and skin can feel tight after a shower.
Equipment you are not sure still works
If the house came with a softener or filter and you cannot tell whether it does anything, testing water before and after it gives you the answer.
You are shopping for a system
Even with no obvious symptoms, a test before buying keeps you from paying for capacity or media your home does not need.
What happens during a test visit
- 1
A quick call first
You describe what you have noticed and we book a time that works for you. A few questions about your home help us come prepared.
- 2
Testing at your faucet
We take water from the kitchen faucet, plus a second tap when a comparison helps. You see every reading and we explain it on the spot. Visits are relaxed and usually shorter than people expect.
- 3
Options matched to your numbers
We line up the results with choices: carbon for taste and smell, resin for hardness, a membrane for drinking water. For each, you hear the trade-offs, including upkeep, filter changes and how much room it takes.
- 4
Pricing on your schedule
When you want installed system pricing, we give it at the visit or by phone, with every part listed. If you need time to think, that is fine, since the test comes with no obligation.
What it costs, and what shapes system pricing
The water test itself is free. If you decide on equipment, installation is included with our water treatment systems, and the price depends on what your readings call for and how your home is plumbed. We go over each factor before you commit to anything.
- What the readings show
- Moderate hardness may need a smaller resin tank than very hard water. Chlorine alone may call only for carbon, while high dissolved solids at the tap points to reverse osmosis.
- Household size and water use
- More people and more bathrooms mean higher flow. Systems are sized so pressure holds steady when the shower and the washer run together.
- Material choices
- Catalytic carbon, standard carbon, resin grade and tank construction each carry different costs and service intervals. We show you where spending more buys longer life and where it does not.
- Plumbing and access
- An existing loop in the garage keeps installation simple. Rerouting the main line or working in a tight space takes more labor and parts.
Common questions about the water test
Something not covered here? (480) 428-0739
Is there any charge for the test?
None. The test costs nothing and carries zero obligation. The readings and our notes are yours to keep, buy or not.
Will every test end with a softener pitch?
No. Softeners are in our name, but the numbers drive what we suggest. If your hardness does not call for one, we tell you and discuss whole-home filtration, reverse osmosis or no equipment at all.
Should I be there during the test?
Yes. The test happens at a working tap inside your home, and it is useful for you to watch the readings appear. You can also ask about anything right then.
If I buy a system, who puts it in?
After you pick a system, our partner plumbers do the installation. The installation and labor come with a 5-year warranty, which keeps the workmanship covered long after the first months.
How have other customers rated you?
So far we have 3 five-star Google reviews. We would prefer you judge us on how clearly we explain the test, so feel free to ask questions during the visit.
Can you test water coming out of a filter I already have?
Yes. Comparing water before and after your current unit shows whether it is still doing its job. At times new media is all it needs, and we will let you know.

Know your water before you choose a system
